How to install HostN Theme on WHMCS?

This documentation provides a step-by-step guide for installing the HostN WHMCS Client Theme on a server where the theme has not been previously deployed. It covers all necessary procedures to ensure a proper and complete installation.

Product Requirements

IMPORTANT: Starting with version 1.0.0, HostN Client Theme no longer supports PHP below 8.2
Below is a list of requirements for latest product version:
  1. Requires IonCube Loader 14 or later.
    1. Supports 8.2 and 8.3. or higher
      1. Required PHP modules: php-zip & php-mbstring
        1. Requires max_execution_time to be set to at least 300 seconds
          Before You Begin
          1. IMPORTANT - Enable WHMCS Maintenance mode and perform a full backup of your WHMCS server and database.
            1. IMPORTANT - Ensure that the HostN WHMCS Client Theme version, which you would like to install, is compatible with your WHMCS installation! Check the compatibility list here
              1. While every release of the HostN theme is thoroughly tested, we highly recommend evaluating it within your WHMCS environment before enabling it in production. You can preview the installed theme by clicking the “Live Preview” button, as shown below.

                Download Files

                1. Log in to Hostn Client Portal
                  1. Navigate to My Service
                    1. Select the product you want to install on your Domain, then click the 'Manage' button.
                      1. To download the latest version, click the 'Download' button on the main product page. To access previous releases, select 'Show all files'.

                        Upload Files

                        Do not upload HostN files as the ROOT user. Files owned by root cannot be overwritten by the Hostn Panel addon, which may prevent HostN Pagebuilder or Color Schemes from activating correctly.
                        1. Extract the .zip file you downloaded from our Client Portal.
                          1. Using an FTP client, upload the contents of the /php82+/ folder to the directory where your WHMCS system is installed. You can find the WHMCS installation directory in the WHMCS admin area under "Help" > "License Information" > "Valid Directory".
                            1. Make sure all files are uploaded successfully without any transfer errors.
                              1. Once the HostN package has been uploaded to your WHMCS server, ensure that all files and directories under /templates/hostn/core/templates/ are writable

                                Activate Addon

                                1. Log in to the WHMCS admin area on your server.
                                  1. Go to 'System Settings' (top-right) and click 'Addon Modules'. [IMAGE-A] LINK: your-domain.tld/admin/configaddonmods.php
                                    1. Activate the HostN Panel Addon > Click ACTIVATE Button
                                      1. Press CONFIGURE Button and select admin role groups, to garant acces according to your needs, then save the new changes.

                                        1. To activate the Hostn Client Theme Area, navigate to Addons -> Hostn Panel
